Kibbutzim and Moshavim
The firm's cooperative society department has deep and rich experience going back decades in providing legal advice to kibbutzim (both communal and renewed) and moshavim. We are very well respected in this area and well known for advising on the various legal issues arising from the day-to-day activities of these communities as well as handling the more unusual matters that may arise.
For example, we advise kibbutzim and moshavim on the procedures involved in assigning houses and assets to their members, varying their characteristics (from communal to private ownership), changes to lifestyles, including amending the articles of these communities, arranging for mutual guarantees for renewed kibbutzim (pension rules, nursing arrangements, arrangements for special needs etc.), various arrangements in the communal kibbutzim, "combining statuses", procedures for demographic growth, organizational restructuring, private ventures of the cooperative society's members, local committees, issues relating to leaving payments, establishment and management of reserve funds, advising the governing organs of the cooperative societies as needed, drafting of internal regulations and arrangements, contracting with third parties and contracting between the cooperative society and its members.
We provide the most appropriate, practical and innovative legal advice tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of the relevant kibbutz or moshav. Where necessary, this will entail our representing the community in discussions with the relevant authorities, including the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Israel Lands Authority and others.
